Worrying about things you have no control over is a waste of time and energy, focus on what is in your control.

Process over results

Related to the first one... results are something you can't control so why focus on them? Do the right thing every time, even if it's hard. 

Simple wins

More often than not there is more than one way to solve the task at hand, the people with the most simple solutions win. You may be able to solve the problem but if you have unnecessary complexities then you will create additional problems along the way. 

Best practices are overrated 

I am all about standard practices and studying the assumed best practices; however, the term "best practices" assume you could never improve it and that all situations being addressed are the same.  

Communication

Text / Slack

This will always be my preferred method of communication and I am never far from my phone or Slack. 

Bonus: adding emojis to any text method allows the tone to be read easier. 

Phone

Do smartphones still do this? 

I kid, but I rarely use the phone app on my iPhone.  😄

The improvements to video conferencing since Covid are very welcomed and help teams be efficient, so I am a fan!
